Restriction risk
Content Bot is a content pipeline: it watches source channels and, when a new post comes out there, publishes it in your channel. The post can be moved as a copy or rewritten by an AI model, and before publishing it can be shown for approval in a Telegram bot.
It runs continuously until the task is stopped. For a one-off transfer of old posts use Channel Clonner.
What you need
- An account that is an administrator of the destination channels with the right to post.
- Source channels without content protection.
- For rewriting — Multogram AI (the default, from the plan's AI credits) or your own provider on the AI tab (see AI in Multogram).
- For publishing with confirmation — your own bot from @BotFather.
The task takes one account, and the work runs in one thread.
Settings
Channel links
Channel links are a list of "from → to" rules. Each link has a name (for yourself),
a source, a destination (@username, a link or a numeric ID) and an "enabled" switch. You can
make several links: for example, three sources into one channel or each source into its own channel.
Links can be exported and imported as JSON.
Content Generation
| Parameter | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Content generation method | Full copy | Full copy (no changes) — a copy of the post with media; AI rewrite — the model rewrites the text |
| AI prompt | An example in English | The instruction for the model. The source post's text is inserted in place of [[post]]; if the prompt has no [[post]], the text is appended at the end |
| Media | Keep original media | With AI rewrite: publish with the original's photos and videos. Without the checkbox — text only |
Publishing
| Parameter | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Publishing method | Instant | Instant — right away; Confirm in Telegram — after a reviewer's approval |
| Bot API token | — | The token of your bot from @BotFather. For publishing with confirmation |
| Reviewer user ID | — | The numeric Telegram IDs of those who approve posts, comma-separated |
Filter and intervals
| Parameter | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Keyword filter | — | Move only posts that contain at least one of the words. Empty — all new posts |
| Source check interval (sec) | 300 | How often to check the sources. Allowed 10–86,400 |
| Delay between source checks (sec) | 2–5 | The pause between sources within one check |
| Delay between published posts (sec) | 5–30 | The pause after each publication |
How it works
- At start, the latest post of the source is remembered for each link — only posts published after the start are moved. The log shows "Watching … → … (from post #…)". If a source is unavailable, the link is disabled.
- Every Source check interval seconds the bot checks the sources and takes new posts — in order, from older to newer.
- A post goes through the keyword filter, then it is copied or rewritten by AI.
- With confirmation — a preview goes to the reviewers. After approval the post is published.
- The log shows "Post #… from … published to …" or "…rejected by the reviewer".
Publishing with confirmation
Create a bot with @BotFather and copy its token into Bot API token.
Find out your numeric ID — for example, with the @userinfobot bot — and enter it in Reviewer user ID. There can be several reviewers.
Send /start to your bot from each reviewer's account — otherwise the bot can't send them messages.
For each new post the bot sends a preview with ✅ Approve and ❌ Reject buttons. It waits about 5 minutes for an answer: if nobody answered, the post counts as rejected and is not published. While the bot waits for a decision, the other posts wait their turn.
If the token or reviewers are not set, the log shows a warning, and posts won't be published.
Limitations
- 10 posts per check. One check takes the 10 latest posts from a source. If more came out between checks, the older ones are skipped — reduce the Source check interval for active sources.
- An AI failure stops the bot. A temporary failure is retried — up to 4 attempts. If the AI never answers or refuses for good (wrong key, no money on the account, AI credits used up), the task stops with an "AI is unavailable" error. Check the AI settings and start again.
- Protected sources with copying restricted can't be moved.
- A separate bot for confirmations. If the bot's token is already used by another program or a webhook is attached to the bot, Telegram doesn't deliver the button presses — posts will count as rejected.
Recommendations
- An interval matching the source's activity. For news channels — 60–300 seconds, for rare ones — 15–60 minutes.
- A prompt with constraints. Give the length, style and what to remove: "3 sentences, no hashtags, no links to the source".
- Confirmation at the start. In the first days publish with confirmation to check the quality of the rewriting.
- Stop on a timer. Set Stop after (min) in the task window if the bot shouldn't run around the clock.
Common questions
Why didn't the bot publish all new posts?
The posts didn't pass the keyword filter, were rejected by a reviewer, or more than ten came out within one check. The reasons are visible in the log.
Why doesn't the bot send previews?
The reviewer didn't send /start to the bot, or the token or ID is wrong. Check the log — it shows "Could not send the confirmation request to reviewer …" with Telegram's answer and a reminder that the reviewer must start the bot first.
What happens if a reviewer doesn't answer?
After a few minutes the post counts as rejected and is not published.
How is Content Bot different from Channel Clonner?
Content Bot moves new posts continuously, can rewrite them with AI and ask for approval. Channel Clonner is a one-off transfer of already published posts with text simplification and replacements.
Does the bot move old posts?
No, only those published after the task started.
