Restriction risk
Privacy Settings sets Telegram privacy settings on many accounts at once: who sees the number, who can call, invite to groups and so on. The same as the "Privacy and Security" menu in Telegram, only for the whole pool in one run.
Settings
Thirteen independent blocks — every setting of Telegram's "Privacy and Security" screen, in the same order. Each has a Change checkbox and a value. Without the checkbox this setting is not touched on the accounts.
| Block | Default | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Phone number → Phone visibility | Nobody | Who sees your number |
| Find by phone number | Contacts | Who can find the account and add it to their contacts by its number |
| Last seen & online → Last seen & online | Contacts | Who sees the time of the last visit |
| Profile photo | Everybody | Who sees the avatar |
| Bio | Contacts | Who sees the profile bio |
| Date of birth | Contacts | Who sees the date of birth |
| Gifts | Everybody | Who sees the received gifts on the profile |
| Music on profile | Everybody | Who sees the music pinned to the profile |
| Forwarded messages | Everybody | Whether messages forwarded from the account carry a link to it |
| Calls | Contacts | Who can call |
| Peer-to-peer in calls | Contacts | With whom a call connects directly rather than through Telegram's servers |
| Voice messages | Everybody | Who can send voice and round video messages |
| Group invites | Contacts | Who can add the account to groups and channels |
The values are Nobody, Contacts, Everybody. Telegram itself makes two exceptions:
- Find by phone number — only Everybody or Contacts.
- Voice messages — only an account with Telegram Premium can limit them. Without Premium Telegram accepts only Everybody.
A direct peer-to-peer connection shows the other side the account's IP address; Nobody routes every call through Telegram's servers.
How it works
Each account applies in turn every block with the Change checkbox, in the order of the table above. The log shows a "Privacy updated: …" line for each setting. Each setting is applied separately: if Telegram refuses one, the others are still applied, and the reason for the refusal is in the log.
An account counts as successful only when every chosen setting was applied. When some were not, the log says "Privacy set only in part: X of Y settings applied" and the task statistics count the account as failed.
Recommended sets
| Goal | Number | Online | Photo | Calls | Groups | Forwarding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Worker accounts for mailings and inviting | Nobody | Contacts | Everybody | Nobody | Contacts | Everybody |
| Maximum privacy | Nobody | Nobody | Contacts | Nobody | Nobody | Nobody |
Why the photo is "Everybody". An account without a visible avatar looks like a bot, and its messages get reported more often.
Why groups are "Contacts". Otherwise your accounts get added to spam groups without being asked.
Common questions
Why didn't some settings change?
Those blocks didn't have the Change checkbox ticked — without it the setting isn't touched. Or Telegram refused those particular settings (for example, only Premium can limit voice messages): the reason is in the log, and the account then counts as failed.
How do I check that the privacy settings were applied?
Open the account in the built-in messenger: right-click the avatar → Edit Profile → the Privacy tab.
Is it safe to run again?
Yes. Running it again simply sets the same values once more.
Can I change the privacy of a single account?
Yes — in the messenger via Edit Profile. And the phone visibility of many accounts can also be changed with the Profile mass action.
